Fernando de Noronha is actually not an island but an archipelago of 21 islands and islets. Fernando de Noronha is located in the Atlantic Ocean, 354 kilometers (220 mi) from the Brazilian coast.
It is important that Fernando de Noronha archipelago is as of 2001 a UNESCO World Heritage Site. What you should know about this archipelago is that you can’t stay the night on it but you can visit it during the day for a special fee.
